School History

Zion Lutheran School
Spring City, PA

Zion Lutheran School opened its doors on January 2, 1981.  At that time the staff consisted of two teachers and the enrollment was one child.  As the need for quality, Christian childcare was noted and the trend for children to socialize outside their own back yards became a norm, our school began to grow.  We had larger enrollments each year prompting the hiring of more teachers and the additional employment of teaching assistants.  Our curriculum was further developed to encompass developmental milestones for each age group that we serve.

As word of our program spread throughout the community, we became one of the areas premier choices for nursery school education.  Today we are in our 29th year of providing a quality, cost effective early childhood program. Our staff number greater than 25 and our enrollment tops 215 children.
